Sometimes you just get tired of ordering another matcha or trying out the latest trendy restaurant, so we thought—why not try something different and fun?
We love tea and had no idea tea tastings were even a thing until we looked it up.
The only one that really stood out as authentic was the Twining's Tea Tasting on the Strand.
The tasting takes place in the original Twining's shop, tucked away in a cozy basement space.
There were only eight of us in total, which made the experience feel warm and intimate. Serena, who was absolutely amazing, guided us through the two-hour tasting.
The tea tasting began with a fascinating deep dive into the history of tea, accompanied by a cup of breakfast tea. It was a dynamic and interactive experience, with plenty of space to share our own thoughts and opinions. Serena was incredibly engaging, we could have listened to her for hours. What made the experience even more special was that the tea tasting takes place in the original Twining's shop, it felt like we were not just learning about history, but actually living it.
The second part of the experience was dedicated to the actual tea tasting. We were lucky enough to sample six different varieties and were encouraged to describe each one. It was a fascinating exercise, especially for tea enthusiasts, and a fun way to discover which types of tea we naturally gravitate toward.

Final Thoughts: The Twining's Tea Experience is the perfect activity for tea lovers, but even if you're not a tea enthusiast, the engaging way it's presented makes it enjoyable for everyone. You'll walk away feeling uplifted and in great spirits, an ideal way to brighten up a gloomy Sunday.
Service: 10/10 - Everyone we met, from the shop floor staff to Serena, was incredibly warm and helpful. Serena’s passion for tea was truly inspiring — it definitely makes us want to return!
