BB Marbella Guide #1

Our second city guide is all about Marbella, a place we've been visiting for over 25 years! Marbella can be a bit hit or miss, but we're here to show you the city the way it truly should be experienced.

LAGREE PILATES @ Palm Sporting Club: Marbella finally has a Lagree Pilates studio, and it exceeds expectations! The classes are both challenging and rewarding, with incredibly sweet and motivating instructors. The studio also features a healthy café with outdoor seating—perfect for enjoying a post-workout juice. Plus, they offer beauty treatments like massages and lymphatic drainage. With an owner who previously taught at MAD Lagree London, you can be sure this place means business! We love using the Madi Bag as a gym bag—it adds a stylish touch to our workout outfits while easily fitting everything from a change of clothes to your water bottle (available in peach, green and denim).

BRUNCH @ Hustle N' Flow: Marbella is full of great brunch spots, and don't worry, we'll be sharing more Marbella guides so you won't miss out on any! For this guide, we’ve chosen a charming spot tucked in San Pedro, just a 15-minute drive from Marbella. You can enjoy a lovely brunch outdoors in a peaceful square. We recommend trying the breakfast burrito or the avocado toast.

COFFEE @ Cappuccino: If you're looking to people-watch by the seaside and catch a sunset, this is the perfect spot. It's the kind of place where you can drop in for a plate of nachos or just a coffee while soaking in the view. There's always availability, so no need to book, and afterward, you can take a leisurely stroll along Marbella's Paseo Maritimo.

SEASIDE LUNCH @ Nuevo Reino: Sometimes, all you crave is delicious traditional tapas by the sea, and this place never disappoints. Located at the entrance of San Pedro, you can even walk from Puerto Banus which will definitely built up your appetite! Everything is tasty, though we wouldn't recommend the paella, as you can find better versions elsewhere. We always order the grilled sardines, fried aubergine with molasses, and gambas pil pil. It's a good idea to book in advance, as this spot is a local institution and stays busy, even in the winter months. We love wearing the Suma bag as it fits everything, can be washed in the washing machine as it is synthetic (available in various colours and can even be customised)

MATCHA & TUNA SANDWICH @ YAWYE: This place is essentially a better version of Joe & the Juice: the quality of ingredients is exceptional, and now we can’t even go to Joe & the Juice because we’re hooked on YAWYE. They serve the famous Tunacado sandwich, which is absolutely delicious, and a matcha lemonade that's incredibly tasty. We’re also big fans of their iced strawberry matcha drink. Located in the heart of Puerto Banus, it’s the perfect spot for a quick, healthy snack while you're out walking or shopping. Our Wavy rings are always a fun accessory to brighten up your day and of course, your outfit.

JUICE @ Cold Pressed Juicery: We’re so thankful this juice spot exists because after every workout, we treat ourselves to a juice, a shot, and a smoothie as a reward. They have lovely outdoor seating where you can relax and watch people stroll by. We highly recommend the Skin & Immunity juice and the Maca Peanut Butter Smoothie. It's located near the Puerto Banus market, so if you're visiting on a Saturday (market day), be prepared for some difficulty finding parking.

CHURROS @ Churreria Ramon: Nestled in Marbella's Old Town, right in the famous Orange Square, we’ve been visiting this spot since our first trip to Marbella, and we can confidently say these churros and their hot chocolate are the best you'll find anywhere. They're light, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. The location is both peaceful and vibrant, making it the perfect spot to enjoy your treat. Afterward, we recommend strolling around the Old Town and maybe even booking an authentic flamenco show to complete the experience.

ACAI @ Super Be Juicery: This charming juice bar, in our opinion, serves the most irresistible and delicious açaí bowl: the Chocolate Salted Caramel bowl. If you're watching your sugar intake, this might not be the best choice, but they do offer plenty of healthier options. However, if you can indulge, it’s absolutely worth it! Conveniently located opposite the Puente Romano Hotel, you might even spot Novak Djokovic stopping by for his post-tennis juice.

DRINKS @ El Patio: Set within the stunning Marbella Club, we love enjoying drinks or coffee in its beautiful garden. We're especially hooked on the Bloody Mary and the little cookie served with the coffee—it's all in the details! The hotel itself is a work of art, with each room thoughtfully decorated and featuring beautifully curated furniture and home décor. We recommend taking a walk around the hotel, where you'll currently find a Loewe pop-up, along with Louis Vuitton and Chanel stores. Marbella Club also has its own shop where you can browse their unique crockery and home décor. Our Perla bangles are the ideal addition to enhance your current arm stack.

DINNER @ El Gamonal: Tucked away in the mountains of San Pedro, this hidden gem has quickly become one of our favorite recent discoveries. Established over 30 years ago, this restaurant is a paradise for meat lovers. In the summer, the entire dining area is set outdoors in their beautiful garden, creating a magical experience—especially if you arrive for sunset (an early dinner by Spanish standards, but well worth it). They’re famous for their slow-cooked suckling pig and their signature hot stone experience, where you can cook your own meat to perfection, served with delicious trimmings. With exceptional service, this spot is perfect for a romantic dinner or a memorable gathering with friends.

HIDDEN GEM @ El Molcajete: in Fuengirola: Finding an authentic Mexican restaurant in London is always a challenge, so when we discovered a small Mexican spot in Marbella’s Old Town, we had to give it a try. We later found out they have a main restaurant in Fuengirola, so we made a special trip just to have lunch there. With outdoor seating (always a plus) and Mexican owners, we knew we were in the right place. The menu features traditional dishes rarely found in London, like queso fundido. We recommend ordering a selection of tacos, the queso fundido (a must!), tortilla soup (another dish that’s hard to find in London and often poorly made), and the enchiladas. We definitely need to return to try more! If you're heading to or from Málaga airport, it’s the perfect stop along the way.

No worries, we’ll be creating another Marbella guide soon, this time focusing on summer restaurants and beach spots—stay tuned!
