Food Review: LPM, Boho Club, Marbella

Just when you think Marbella has reached peak perfection, LPM decides to pop in for a two-month takeover.

I brought a few of my closest friends to Marbella for my birthday weekend and the moment I heard LPM was doing a pop-up at Boho Club, I knew that’s exactly where we’d celebrate. Funny enough, I’d had lunch at LPM London just the week before, so I was very curious to compare the two.

Spoiler alert: Marbella took the win.

Since it’s a pop-up, the menu isn’t as extensive, but all the iconic dishes are there and the space still has that unmistakable LPM charm. The dishes are meant for sharing, so definitely come with a bigger group so you can try as much as possible.

Here's what we ordered:

Tomatini Cocktail - 10000/10: The famous LPM cocktail… which is funny because I’d never actually tried it before. I’m usually a Paloma girl, but since they couldn’t make one, I figured this was the perfect chance. Now I finally get the hype. It’s absolutely delicious, and don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like cheap tomato juice. It’s more of an elevated cocktail with just a hint of tomato and the perfect touch of spice.

Marinated Peppers - 8/10: A classic LPM dish that’s surprisingly hard to find in London, and it never misses. The acidity is perfectly balanced and every bite is delicious. Marinated peppers are a staple tapas item in Marbella, so you can definitely find them elsewhere for much cheaper, though they won’t have the same refined touch. If you’re a Marbella local, you might skip this one, but for visitors it’s a must-order classic.

Sweetcorn Salad with Pomegranate Herbs - 9/10: This salad was such an unexpected discovery. I’d never ordered it at other LPM locations and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. There’s a similar version at The Arts Club in London that I adore, and honestly… this one might even top it. That’s how good it is!

Thinly Slices Octopus with Lemon and Green Chilli Dressing - 8/10: I’m not usually a fan of octopus, but this carpaccio completely won me over. Perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. Such a delicious surprise.

Tuna Tartare - 10000/10: I’m usually disappointed by tuna tartare because it’s often not fresh or just doesn’t hit the mark. This one was on a completely different level. Truly the best tuna tartare I’ve ever had! The freshness of the fish paired with that extra-crispy layer on top… just wow. I could happily eat this every single day.

Warm Prawns with Olive Oil and Lemon Juice - 10/10: Another LPM classic that delivers every single time. It’s such a simple dish, but the quality of the ingredients is exceptional. From the olive oil to the prawns, everything was just incredible.

Homemade Gnocchi with Cherry Tomatoes - 9/10: At first glance it seems like a basic dish, but it was so good we had to order a second round because we simply couldn’t get enough. Whatever magic is in that sauce… keep it coming!

Marinated Baby Chicken - 8/10: I’m not usually a big fan of chicken unless it is a classic roasted chicken or simple chicken breast, but this one completely surprised me. It was incredibly tender and so well marinated that it practically melted in your mouth like butter.

Vanilla Cheesecake with Berry Compote - 10/10: Since it was my birthday, I couldn’t resist ordering every dessert on the menu—and this cheesecake was absolutely to die for!

Thin Crust Apple Tart with Vanilla Ice cream - 10/10: This is usually my favorite dessert at LPM, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint, as always!

Moody Lemon - Hair Scrunchie in Sunny Acai

Chocolate Mousse with Amaretto - 9/10: I usually skip chocolate mousse because it never hits the spot, but this one was rich, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. Definitely don’t skip it, even if you’re full, you’ll find the space!

Selection of Homemade Sorbets - 8/10: I usually find sorbets a bit boring, but they’re great for digestio and this one was so fresh and tasty, so why not?

Final Thoughts: We had such an incredible evening filled with laughter and joy, but most importantly, with amazing food, flawless service, and the perfect ambiance. Can’t wait for LPM to open fully, I just hope the quality stays just as exceptional during peak season!
